Notice to Tenants

1. Key locks are not allowed to be installed in any rooms, such as bedrooms, bathrooms, and

kitchens, etc, inside any unit. Additionally, without the landlord's written approval, no key locks

are permitted to be replaced or installed on any unit entry doors by any tenants.

2.  Smoking and open flame are not permitted in your premises. Cooking is only allowed

 in designated kitchen areas.

3.   Any access by unfamiliar individuals must have the approval of the landlord, unless 

      they are official firemen, policemen  or individuals with a court order.

4. From September 15 to May of next year, all units should be maintained at a temperature above

   68F , regardless of whether they are vacant or occupied. In extremely cold weather below 5F, all

    water pipes need to be allowed to drip water and all doors and cabinet doors Inside units should

    be kept open to ensure air  circulation and prevent pipes  from freezing and causing flooding.

5.  Any concerns or problems should be reported to the landlord following the established

     procedures.

 1. Emergency

For the highest emergency priority situations such as fire, crime, or any emergency that 

requires immediate  assistance, please immediately call 911.

For general emergency situations like neighbor conflicts or similar non-urgent matters, 

please call Lowell Police: 978-937-3200.

In the event of a leak, flood, no heating, or no electricity etc , please call or text 

978-928-9882. Additionally, make sure to report the problem through the tenant portal 

at: https://umass-rental.managebuilding.com/Resident/public/home    and 

and provide the tenants' phone numbers for contractors to schedule visit times.                               |                    |

  2.   General

For any non-emergency concerns or issues (appliance problems need pictures for brand, model etc),

lower smoke battery , etc, please report through the tenant portal at: https://umass-

rental.managebuilding.com/Resident/public/home plus  providing tenants' phone numbers for

contractors to schedule visit times.        

Please note that this notice is posted on the entry door inside each unit for tenants to see and also

emailed to all tenants
